The World Academic Council of Emergency Medicine was founded in 2016 with the constitution finalized in 2017. The World Academic Congress of Emergency Medicine is the official annual meeting of The World Academic Council of Emergency Medicine. Founded by Academic leaders from USA, UK, Italy, Qatar, UAE, India, Sri Lanka, Singapore & Japan WACEM is a Non-Political 100% Academic Organization focused on working with individual academicians, academic institutions and academic organization to forward the Science of Emergency Patient Care. All clinical specialties namely trauma, critical care, cardiology, neurosciences, pediatrics, orthopedics, acute care surgery and emergency medicine involved in the academic science of Emergency Patient Care are a part of the WACEM Agenda. About WHO-CCET
The World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Emergency and Trauma Care is head quartered at The Emergency Department of the JPN Apex Trauma Center, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi and administers the region of Southeast Asia. The Overall vision of the Center is to strengthen and integrate Emergency & Trauma Care Services at all levels/facilities at sub-national, national and regional level to reduce the avoidable mortality, morbidities and disabilities burden. WHO-CCET Mission is to provide comprehensive mentorship to achieve standardize Emergency & Trauma Care at all levels/facilities of sub-national, national and regions. About AJIMS
The AJ Institute of Medical Sciences was established by Educationist and Social Industrialist Shri. A.J. Shetty. The institution was launched on 21 October 2002. About IAP
The Indian Academy of Pediatrics is the association of Indian pediatricians. It was established in 1963, in Mumbai, India and claims to have 30,000 members, as of the year 2024. The head office of IAP is in Mumbai while Delhi is the seat of its official publication – Indian Pediatrics, a MEDLINE indexed medical journal. It also publishes another medical journal called Indian Journal of Practical Pediatrics from Chennai. Historically In 1948, K. C. Chaudhury founded the Indian Pediatric Society, which later merged with the Association of Pediatricians to form the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP), a single body that would represent Indian pediatricians. The IAP held its first national conference in 1964, in Pune.
